Hey everyone! I had the most amazing Mommy and Me session in beautiful Nanaimo, and I can't wait to share the incredible experience with you. Come check out the joy-filled adventure, capturing those magical moments between a mom and her little one.
Time to Chill
During the full session, my focus was on creating a relaxed and natural atmosphere. I encouraged them to play, cuddle, and simply enjoy their time together. The result was a flurry of laughter and sweet moments that made my heart melt. It was a joy to witness the genuine love and bond shared between them. ✨
As a family photographer, I have the privilege of capturing the little moments that often go unnoticed. Seeing this mom's tender gaze and the little one's infectious giggles filled my heart with happiness. Sunset on the Beach
Choosing the perfect location for the session was key to enhancing the magical atmosphere. We found a beautiful park in Nanaimo with gorgeous natural scenery that added an extra touch of whimsy to the photographs. Stunning bluffs, crashing waves, and a breathtaking sunset filled with cotton candy colours! The warm sunlight streaming through the trees created a dreamy ambiance, making the moments even more extraordinary. 🌊🌲
Supernatural BC
The park is located in the city of Nanaimo on the unceded traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation (snʊˈneɪməxʷ). When you look out across the Strait of Georgia (roughly 36 km away across the Salish Sea) you can see the Howe Sound islands and fjords, including the Sunshine Coast. The spectacular North Shore Mountains rise up and are a small subrange of the Pacific Range in the vast Coastal Mountains. On a clear day you can spot The Lions, Ch'ich'iyúy Elxwíkn (Twin Sisters) which are an impressive pair of towering peaks! ⛰️⛰️
The two mountains are sacred to the Indigenous Squamish people (Skwxwú7mesh); the two peaks were transformed by the Sky Brothers after twin sisters that had married with Haida twins created the path for the war to end between the Squamish and Haida people.
Fun Fact! The Province's CFL football team the B.C. Lions are named after the twin peaks!
When I sat down to review and edit the images, I couldn't help but smile at the sheer beauty captured in each photograph.
